The Women’s Center, Inc. provides a welcoming and non-judgmental atmosphere to all clients and their family members who identify as members of the LGBTQ+ Community.

The Goal of the Legal Department is Justice and Safety for all individuals. The Women’s Center, Inc. has a Legal Coordinator and Advocate who assists clients with legal options and safety planning.

Services include:

• Assistance in filing Protection From Abuse and Sexual Violence Protection petitions

• Accompanies the victims to PFA and SVPO hearings and related criminal hearings

• Provide emotional support to the victims

       Helps assist clients to identify their own needs and preferred outcomes.

The Women’s Center of Columbia/Montour Inc. Medical Advocacy Program provides services for victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse, prevention activities, advocacy, and leadership to the health care community, aimed at eradicating violence and sexual abuse.
